Revelry: 24 shafts texel loom
This project is inspired by the famous French queen Marie Antoinette as her act of squander enraged French people. The colour palette is base on the poster of the movie Marie Antoinette and my understanding to rococo painting. The colour change from vivid to vague as the story has a tragic ending. I used undyed silk for warp which is easier to paint with. I chose to use wire to show the contrast between soft and structure. During this project, I try to explore the possibility of create structure in weave.
